20/06/2026

As today was to hot to do much in the way of birding and I fear the next week will be the same, I make no apology for posting more images of the fabulous Squacco Heron that spent the 16th  around the Long Pits and ARC.

  1. Lovely pictures of the Squacco Heron! It was on my target list but when the report came through, I was in Norfolk staring at the Gull-billed Tern, another good bird but I would have preferred the S H, I sound really complanitive.
    Anyway, great pictures!

    1. Hi Ken, afraid this one only stayed for the day. Others here have stayed longer. I can remember many moons ago driving like a lunatic from Brighton to see the Pett level bird.
