Corn Buntings in the field in front my house
This morning while going through a very disappointing catch of moths considering how mild and still the weather was last night, I realised how lucky I am to able to listen to Corn and Reed Buntings singing, Yellow Wagtails calling, Reed, Sedge and Cetti's Warblers singing along with the common garden birds, Swallows, House Martins, Swifts, Hobbys, Sparrowhawks etc all without leaving my front garden.Yellow Wagtail in the field in front my house
I live in greatstone & have been feeling very fortunate this spring. It’s my 4th year living in this beautiful place. I never saw this kind of nature when I lived down the road in Hastings. I’ll never take this diversity of Flora & fauna for granted. It’s a magical place.
ReplyDeleteI take so much joy from seeing the swifts catch insects in the evening & the swallows looking so magestic. I was even fortunate enough to see the purple stork recently , landed in the tree in my neighbours garden a couple of times . I felt really lucky.
Then when I saw a stork , I mistook it for a human. I Might need new glasses .
I really enjoy your blog! Thank you
