Bird of the day was this female Smew discovered by Alan & Peter on Dengemarsh, the first one since January 2022. It is sad this once relatively common winter visitor to Dungeness has become such a rarity.The 48 Bewick Swans are still on Walland Marsh but have moved to the farthest reaches of Horses Bones farm and can only be seen distantly from the back of Scotney. There were 19 Russian White-fronted Geese on Boulderwall Fields that had originally been flying around Scotney per OL. Also the Long-tailed Duck was still present on the New Diggings today.
