Dungeness Birding At Its Very Best 12/09/2026

Poor images of the best bird so far this year a fabulous Brown Booby that spent c30minutes off shore from the fishing boats this afternoon. The first Dungeness record.

    Neil Burt spotted it first, there was only his Mum Jan, myself, Richard and Sean present. Fortunately we got the news out quickly and around 20 people managed to see it.

      Great spot then! Wow. I'd love to find a bird like that. 3 5am starts and the best I got were Black Terns, Sooty and Balearic shearwaters!!
